My Dream

I find myself
lying in a glass coffin
people around me
happy, dancing, laughing
I bang the walls and scream:
"Please, let me out"
Nobody hears me
no matter how loud I shout

I am sleeping but I'm not
Am I dreaming, I don't know
I'd give you my best shot
if you only let me go
But I see you in the crowd
you are walking away
Are you really that proud
you just can not stay

I fall asleep again
voices go down in my ears
something is echoing
and I see through my tears

You stand next to my coffin
you are smiling to me
you tell everyone the truth
you make them see
You were once mine
and even if you have to go
you've come to show

I'll be just fine
