Did you hear what she said when she thought that no one heard her?
Small curse words from under her breath she'd never say to your face
Would you call that cowardice or courtesy, well I'd never...
It takes much more than consistency to stay in your proper place

Patience is a vice when people see how damn convenient it can be
When all they really have to do is their very least

And still you wait
What else would you be doing?
It's something you do best

A promise can keep you satisfied for weeks
Whether it's broken or kept

Did you hear the rumors about the way you walk the empty streets?
Bitter words from envious bastards who never learned any of life's lessons
Yet somehow now when you're confident, they're no longer at ease

Kindness is a flaw when they see how useful you can be
And how by taking everything you have to offer, they don't need to give back anything

The pesky vermin you call your supporters
It's not a pretty sight
