When I said I'm sorry, I meant I am trying
When I said I was over it, I was probably lying

When I said I'm happy now, I probably felt like crying
The more I have to live for, the more I'm scared of dying

Cause all I ever needed was some love and then some silence
sit and wonder who this person is who lives behind my eyelids
if his actions represent him much or if I even like him

Cause I am not the face you see, no, I am just the pilot
no, I am more like honey bee, afraid of why I'm flying
but trusting I must fill a need by saying things that rhyme and
the thing I'm doing right now, or what makes you feel alive in
the story of your time on earth, why else would you write it

Why else would you dedicate so much fucking time to it
unless it mattered, and you're not supposed to live a life in hiding
not supposed to be lost in the storm, you're supposed to be the lightning
