Blatant truth

Took me years to realize
when you held my hand
said you'd take me there
to the promised paradise

But there was only pain
starless sky with no hope
ocean filled with tears
and surrounding sadness

And the moon and the sun
together as you wanted
us to shine day or no light
staring each other in love

But the love wasn't true
like suicide without dying
only fear to see new dawn
