I wake to feel you near
Though you're lifetime away
Like a wind on the reeds
I'm left here to stay

The road behind me goes
Enshrouded and dark
The love I gave to you
Left barren my heart

And moments spent with you
Their beauty and woe
Through the years they haunt me still
Wherever I go

Forgive me Lord, I pray
My faces of sin
Bear me the weight of years
This deep void within

As light as first snow falls
On red autumn leaves
Your voice seeps through my dreams
Still I won't believe
