Are You Attempting to Know Me?
A Chat with Ms. Paula A.M. Puolakka

John: What did you have for breakfast, sweetie?
Paula: Three mugs of water. I was listening to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's The Morning Drive, and Mike Bagley told Pete Pistone how the young drivers had told him to start his day with a bottle of water instead of coffee. It inspired me. Plus I didn't have anything to eat. I had to go to the market place @9.
John: [Laughing] That made it easy!
Paula: Yeah! If you don't have anything else, there's always tap water...
John: I couldn't drink that, not here. But, sweetie, later, what did you eat?
Paula: A peanut butter and cherry jam toast, coffee, and two capsules of Ashwagandha.
John: Oh, Auyrveda! Ashwagandha is great for stress.
Paula: Yeah. I've a bit of a cortisol belly... You know, the strip of stress-related fat just under my bellybutton...
John: That's just adorable!!! Remember, it's completely natural. Everybody has loose skin or bumps, and you'd be S/M here! You're 43, people over 70 are like elephants. Tough heels and sh*t. You don't wanna know!
Paula: [Laughter]
John: Toyota or Ford?
Paula: Always Ford!
John: [Laughter] Always Ford. I will include the first poem I read from you. Do you remember?
Paula: Oh shoot... It was... "God's Timing?" The one I had submitted to your local library's poetry contest... In 2019? No... 2018?
John: July 2018. It was the only entry from Europe, and I gotta tell you, I was blown away. We don't get those often... Positive reviews...
Paula: I could modify it, now. Include Ryan Blaney somewhere in there, name the main man John, make the lady kiss him...
John: [Laughter] Oh man!
Paula: You deserve it.
John: Paula, thank you. Oh my! I think this will make a great ending.
Paula: Thank you, take care and stay safe.
John: You too, thanks!
[The phone call ends.]
