Painful Memories

I remember when we were free from these chains in the dark, the time we were together.
So here i stand now all alone nearing the breaking point, whispering to the wind.
Oh how things could have been different without the war, thought i.
You'd still be here with me, laying on the grass and gazing up to the stars.
No tears cried, no pain in the heart.
But nothing changes and the world goes on, you follow, i stay behind.
Only the memories stay in my heart as i walk alone into the dark, memories about you... And so i fall..
