My chosen one, my senseless world
you entered along with spring
soft touches of sunsets and rain in your hair
soft promises lingering
I watched you from my distance, at first,
in your thoughts, smiling on your own
So oblivious to my stare, you were,
in the room like you were there alone
My chosen one, on my way to you,
trying all I could to deny,
whilst with colours deep you had already filled
the vast emptiness of my sky
And in denial I searched for a way
through the mirrors reflecting
your image each day -
Till I suddenly saw
your image was mine
and mine was your love
and mine intertwine ---
My chosen one, the summer tides
were still chasing retrieving moons,
cooling evenings to nights swiftly folding,
nights to mornings to afternoons
When crashing all promised seasons, at once,
in a sea of flags unfurl
Through autumn winds they sway and stand
in threat to my dreamy world
My chosen one, since the first snow fall
I knew none of them, no more.
There were shades, there were lights,
there were visions of you,
but none quite like they were before
But the rain comes, my chosen one,
drawing closer the luminous glow,
the nearing steps of spring, my love,
churn my heart, for this one I know
Soon the night disappears to horizon,
breaks into an endless dawn
;by the next turn of tide, I feared all along,
My chosen one, you are gone
